Personally i do not make any objection about how much cost a SIM flight, because i prefer to spend more, but to have a good product, that spend less, but without a final satisfaction.Īfter all it must to be a niche hobby.right? It's like compare a nice Restaurant whit a Fast Food. In addition compare DCS whit BoS.I think it is excessive and out of place. :DĪnd highlight certain shortcomings of the game, to pass them off, as strengths,it's not exactly my passion. So,my experience follow always the SIM way,and i didnt saied that IL2 BoS it's not fun,but fun it's a word very subjective, infact my opinion,it's that BoS lack some aspect, first all the FM about some e German Fighters unstability.but not the soviet fighters as YAK 1. I follow this brand from the frist IL2 ,14 years, and not just it 4.etx.etx Second thing, for how many real pilot they have saied that IL 2 BoS it's awesome, there are the same percentage that they saied the opposite, and also, if I have to think with the head of another person. Nd the scenes research, coding, formulas, and algorithms that go on into creating one plane.įrist thing, the personal opinions, they are always welcome, but judgments on them,or criticize, it means to enter into a controversy staff, and it's useless, besides the fact that there is the free will. I feel that anyone that complains about the game should try it out in the mode that it was meant to be played in first. IL 2 is at its finest when played in expert mode. Sure, it's going to be hectic in normal mode anyone and everyone can see you. Sims aren't like AAA titles, and there's a lot of behind the scenes research, coding, formulas, and algorithms that go on into creating one plane. Yes, it can be very costly, but anyone that has been a part of the flight sim community knows that it's an expensive hobby. If you want some of the premium aircraft, you'll have to pay extra for those, too. Where DCS makes you pay $40 for a single plane with its entirety planned out, IL 2 makes you pay $50 for roughly eight more aircraft with mostly accurate flight and damage models, a new map, and a new campaign. I do feel like it would have been nicer to get more planes in the game, but I'm treating it more like DCS's model where you have to pay for "modules" to get more well thought out, realistic aircraft. However, this game has come a long way since its first inception. I feel that anyone that complains about the game should try it out in the mode that it was meant to be played in first.įlight models and damage models are nice, but the damage model still needs some minor tweaking (landing gear not snapping off when colliding with the ground at too fast a pace). Sure, IL 2 has mouse aim now, but I find that many people still prefer the joystick over the mouse.Īs for the multiplayer, the only people that complain about it being too hectic are the ones that don't play in expert mode where there aren't any red icons that show where everything is at. I don't understand where people are getting that it's become too much like War Thunder. I find that IL 2 Battle of Stalingrad is a good sim, and many people on the official forums love the game in its current state. It lacks many things such as wind, realistic engine management, etc. War Thunder is a poor excuse for a flight sim. On the one hand, it has brought a lot of people into the world of flight sims, but on the other, it has caused many people to expect their flight sims to either be like War Thunder or compare anything and everything to War Thunder. I have a love/hate relationship with War Thunder.
